Regulatory citations

  • IATA · critical

    Live Animals Regulations (LAR) — Container Requirement 82 (CR-82)

    Rigid IATA CR-82 kennel required. Ventilation on 3+ sides for domestic, 4 sides for international. Metal hardware only — no plastic wing-nuts.

    Minimum age 16 weeks for cargo travel

    Puppies and kittens must be at least 16 weeks (4 months) old at the time of travel. Rabies vaccination must be documented, and titer testing may be required for rabies-controlled destinations.

    No sedatives or tranquilizers before flight

    Sedation at altitude is the leading cause of in-transit pet fatalities. Airlines reject sedated pets at check-in. Signed acknowledgment required.

  • USDA APHIS · critical

    International Pet Health Certificate Endorsement (VS Form 7001 / 7001A)

    For all international departures from the U.S., a USDA-accredited veterinarian must complete the health certificate and it must be endorsed by USDA APHIS within the destination-specific window (typically 10 days).

  • IATA CR-82 kennel (correct Sky Kennel size)

    Petmate / Pet Express, metal-hardware, ventilation on 4 sides for international.

  • Absorbent liner / pee pad (no straw)

    One bonded absorbent pad per pet. Loose bedding is rejected at check-in.

  • Two empty dishes — food & water

    Refillable from outside without opening the kennel door.

  • 24-hour food supply + sealed water container

    Zip-locked bag of your pet's regular food; carrier refills in transit.

  • "LIVE ANIMAL" + "THIS WAY UP" stickers

    On top and one side; directional arrows on all four sides.

  • ID + feeding instructions label

    Owner name, phone, destination address, 24-hour feed/water schedule, zip-tied to top.

  • Releasable zip ties on all four door corners

    Cargo staff can release in an emergency; metal bolts stay in place.

Every submission is human-reviewed by an admin or dispatcher before your pet is cleared for shipment. You will receive an email once operations signs off.
