Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to ship a dog to Germany?+

Most moves land between $2,400 and $6,400 depending on crate size, with the crate, airline freight and paperwork included. A Labrador in a size 500 kennel typically runs $4,100 to $5,200. Military PCS families receive a $300 discount.

Does my pet need to quarantine in Germany?+

No. Germany has no quarantine for pets arriving from the United States as long as the microchip, rabies vaccination and APHIS-endorsed EU health certificate are all correct and in date.

How long does the paperwork take?+

Plan four weeks. The rabies vaccination must be at least 21 days old at travel, and the EU health certificate must be issued within 10 days of arrival and endorsed by USDA before you fly.

Which airlines do you use to Germany?+

Lufthansa Cargo is our primary carrier through the Frankfurt Animal Lounge, with United and Condor as alternates. We book the live-animal manifest directly with the cargo desk.

What crate size does my dog need for a flight to Germany?+

EU carriers require ventilation on all four sides and metal-bolted assembly. Interior length must be nose-to-tail plus half a front-leg length, and your dog must stand fully upright. We measure and supply the correct kennel with every booking.
